Trust Officer Lisa Grefe, a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment and equality, has been awarded the 2024 Inspiring Advocate for Women Award presented by the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa during their 8th annual luncheon held on May 10th. This recognition celebrates Lisa’s unwavering commitment to championing the rights and advancement of women in her community and beyond.
The Inspiring Advocate for Women Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, advocacy and dedication to fostering positive change for women. Lisa gives back to her community in many ways including her service as board member at Can Play in West Des Moines and as a soccer coach at North High School in Des Moines. Through these roles she is able to fulfill one of her many passions to help athletes build confidence and unleash their potential. She is also passionate about coaching clients to successfully overcome barriers and rise above life’s challenges.
Over the years, Lisa has been a passionate advocate for gender equality, working tirelessly to break down barriers and create opportunities for women from all walks of life. Lisa’s remarkable contributions align perfectly with the values and mission of this award through her active involvement in the community.
