Sheldon Reynolds Joins FCT Executive Management Team
IOWA – First Community Trust, N.A. (FCT), a nationally-chartered investment firm headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheldon Reynolds as its new Executive Vice President, Managing Director. Reynolds will oversee and lead the growth of FCT’s institutional division, including selling, managing and retaining relationships with financial institutions and clients, as well as driving new market expansion.
Reynolds brings more than 30 years of financial experience to the FCT team. His expertise in investment management and the credit union industry, along with his strong leaderships skills, will contribute to FCT’s commitment to delivering the highest level of service to its clients and partners.
Reynolds is no stranger to the financial services industry. He is a CFA Charterholder and the founder of SBReynolds Consulting, LLC, where he provided tailored consulting services to credit unions, focusing on wealth management and financial wellness. His most recent role as President of Financial Wellness at Local Government Federal Credit Union involved leading a multi-billion-dollar credit union, supervising staff and managing the development of a new financial wellness suite of services.
Prior to this role, he served as Vice President of Trust and Investments at Members Trust Company. He expanded strategic partnerships and sales, managed a wholesaler team and led the implementation of a new managed money delivery platform. During his tenure, the company saw a substantial increase in assets under management.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and is an active volunteer at both the national and local levels.

Reynolds earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He has continued his professional development by completing industry education courses from the Cannon Financial Institute, Skillmark, Credit Union Executives Society and the Harvard Business Publishing Education.
