Mr. Reynolds joined First Community Trust with more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. As FCT’s Executive Vice President and Managing Director, he is responsible for overseeing and leading the growth of the institutional division and is a member of the senior management team. His expertise in investment management and the credit union industry, along with his strong leaderships skills, contribute to FCT’s success at delivering the highest level of service to our clients and partners.

During Mr. Reynolds’ successful 17 year tenure at a leading national trust and investment firm, he played a significant role contributing to the organization’s substantial growth by leading business development initiatives. He was responsible for expanding strategic partnerships and sales, managing a wholesaler team and overseeing a managed money platform.

Most recently in his role as President of Financial Wellness at a leading multi-billion dollar credit union, he was responsible for supervising staff, and managing the creation of a financial wellness Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO). Mr. Reynolds is a CFA Charterholder and the founder of SBReynolds Consulting, LLC, where he provided tailored consulting services to credit unions, focusing on wealth management and financial wellness.

Mr. Reynolds earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He has continued his professional development throughout his career by completing industry education courses from the Cannon Financial Institute, Skillmark, Credit Union Executives Society and the Harvard Business Publishing Education. He is a member of the CFA Institute and is an active volunteer at both the national and local levels.
